Putting a Gift in Your Will

Making a will is a time for reflection about your personal legacy. Including a gift to Durham in your will is a celebration of an institution you treasure and the people you have encountered here.

Legacy gifts enable the University to continue to grow in stature, providing the environment for its academic staff and future generations of students to discover, innovate and influence.

To discuss putting a gift in your will or inform us in confidence of a completed will which contains a legacy, please contact the Senior Development Manager (Legacies and Planned Giving), Louise McLaren.  She can be reached on (+44)(0)191 334 6313, on email at louise.mclaren@durham.ac.uk or by post at DARO, Durham University, Palatine Centre, Stockton Road, Durham, DH1 3LE.

“What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.”

Pericles recorded by Thucydides, The Peloponnesian War, book II, chapter 43, section 3 (431 BC to 411 BC)
