Our Thanks to You

Our alumni donors and volunteers contribute to motivating and inspiring our students and hearten our entire University community, and for this we want to say a big ‘thank you.’

During what, for many, has been a tumultuous year of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are more grateful than ever for the amazing generosity and support shown by our alumni.  You have helped us to meet the challenges of 2020 and allowed us to provide the best environment possible for teaching, learning and research.  During this Michaelmas term in the new academic year, we wish to embark on a celebration of thanks to bring together our community and demonstrate our gratitude for supporting the University in these difficult times.

Sharing our Stories of Gratitude

This autumn we would like to dedicate our attention to expressing gratitude to you all and to say thank you for the extraordinary things you make happen.  Whether by offering financial support or through your gift of time and expertise.

Look out on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn for a week of social media postings with examples of how you make the difference at Durham.

We Would Like You to Share Your Stories too

Would you like to take part and share with us your positive stories of your time at Durham?  Tell us about the experiences that shaped you, the relationships you formed, and the difference Durham has made in your life.

Many alumni speak of their gratitude for the world-class education they received and the impact it's made on their lives, and how it's inspired them to give back.
