Katie currently leads on activity across the Development and Alumni Relations Office. She is responsible for overall strategic oversight and delivery of all fundraising, global alumni engagement, volunteering and communications, and advancement operations for the University. She oversees the implementation of University policy across DARO and leadership of the DARO senior leadership team. Katie has specific responsibility for internal leadership of the Durham Inspired campaign working closely with the Vice-Chancellor and the Chair of the Campaign Board.

Katie is a graduate of Newcastle University, where she completed a PhD in English Literature. She previously held management and leadership roles in Development at Newcastle and Northumbria universities, where she led on a number of significant fundraising projects and campaigns.
