Thank you to everyone who got involved this year with Dunelm Days.

Covid-19 forced us to reimagine our Dunelm Days plans this year, but we still wanted to bring together the global Durham community to celebrate the spirit of support, and everyone’s connection to Durham at the end of a challenging year!

In a united celebration of International Volunteer Day (IVD) on Saturday 5 December, we partnered up with the University's Student and Staff Volunteering Team to create a Facebook Group so that alumni, students and staff could connect with each from around the world, share fond memories from their time at Durham and what volunteering and causes they have supported this year. The group has been a busy hub of activity for the Durham community and has attracted a little under 500 members in the week running up to IVD. Alumni, students and staff reconnected with each other and shared the incredible impact they are having through their volunteering efforts at Durham and around the world. Celebrations are still underway with our alumni in China planning various events throughout the rest of December to show their pride of being a Durham graduate and connection with the University and fellow alumni.
