Risk and Decision Making in the Covid-19 Pandemic

Scholars from Durham’s Institute for Hazard, Risk and Resilience present disciplinary perspectives on decision making in a time of crisis and evolving trauma. Thinking about Covid-19 and the implications for the future are considered.

Dr Carly Beckerman, an international relations scholar, presents insights into different pitfalls of decision making. Dr Hanna Ruszczyk, a human geographer, presents insights into temporality and trauma in disaster and Professor Julian Williams, a financial economist from the Durham Business School, takes us through roadmaps to pandemic resilience and the economics of Covid-19 in the short and long term.
