Durham Inspired: Live in Lockdown
Gin-gle Bells - An Evening with Durham Gin

Wednesday 9 December, 6pm (GMT)

A whirlwind tour through the history of Gin, including the Thirty Years’ War, the Gin craze in the 18th century and the rise of British sea power, through to the modern rise of craft Gin with Jon Chadwick of Durham Distillery. Along the way, Jon will be showing us some classic Gin cocktails that you can make at home.

Jon founded Durham Distillery in 2013, the first Distillery in Durham since the reign of Henry VIII. He is also a Warden Rectifier in the Gin Guild, part of the Worshipful Company of Distillers, and has sworn the oath to promote the finest traditions of English Gin. Durham Distillery is in the middle of building a brand new Distillery in the centre of Durham to bring us the North East’s first ever single malt Whisky, to go with range of classic Gins.
