Congratulations to our recent graduates on their graduation at Winter Congregation! We were delighted to join Ustinovians, their families and supporters for a number of congregation ceremonies in Durham Cathedral earlier this month, followed by Graduation Receptions in the World Heritage Site Visitor Centre on Palace Green. It is always a pleasure to celebrate the achievements of Ustinovians and we look forward to hearing about your future successes as the newest members of our alumni community.
Later in January, we hosted our Burns Night Formal Dinner, which was attended by members of the GCR and SCR, as well as a number of invited guests. Ustinovians delivered fabulous toasts to the Lads and the Lassies, enjoyed haggis and bagpipe music. Following the dinner, many attendees danced the night away at the traditional ceilidh.
Our Global Citizenship Programme continues to host a wide range of events and activities. In January, events include ‘Peace, Conflict and the Arts’ (Café des Arts/Café Politique), ‘You know like in other languages they do it weirdly’ (Seminar Team), a ‘Hindustani Classical Music Workshop’ (Music and Performance), and ‘Time and Project Management’ (SUCCESS). The GCP continues to provide a wide range of key skills and cultural activities – to find out more, please see @UstinovGCP on social media.
It is always a pleasure to hear from our alumni – if you would like to get in touch, please use our alumni email address.
