It has been a busy summer at Trevelyan as we prepare for the start of the new academic year, and welcome the next cohort of Trevelyan College students to Durham. The Junior Common Room has organised a number of events and activities for new students, alongside the traditional College Matriculation, and Landing Formal Dinner. We are delighted to welcome all our new students and look forward to an exciting term ahead. We are also pleased to announce the appointment of our new Vice-Principal, Dr Martin Brader, who joins us full-time on 8 October 2021. Martin has previously worked as Assistant Principal at both Van Mildert and Ustinov Colleges, and has experience of working with undergraduate and postgraduate students to deliver a range of personal development initiatives. In addition to his College roles, Martin has held postdoctoral research positions in the Department of Geography, focusing on reconstructing relative sea-level change and past earthquakes. He is looking forward to meeting our alumni at future events.
