Students - Get involved
The position of Telephone Fundraiser within Durham University’s Development and Alumni Relations Office (DARO) involves contacting Durham graduates by telephone for a variety of reasons, but predominantly to engage their support for the University through making a gift or volunteering.

Who do we want?

Someone who is:
  • A current undergraduate or postgraduate student at Durham University.An excellent communicator and good team player.
  • A confident and personable individual with exceptional listening skills. 
  • Enthusiastic, passionate and knowledgeable about Durham University and their College.
  • Reliable, hardworking and dedicated.
  • Able to manage their studies and make a commitment to regular shifts as a caller without detriment to either!
  • Happy to ask people for money and be persistent.
  • Understanding that this is a target-based role, and happy to work towards targets
