Durham alumni and friends are invited to join us in Washington DC for an exciting alumni panel and networking event on the theme of using data for good as part of our Scheinman Career Networking event series.
This event is hosted by Dr Brad Atkinson, Department of Defence Analytics Deputy Program Manager
Dr Atkinson’s career in analytics spans 35 years within commercial, government, and NGO engagements worldwide. Currently, he leads a team of 50 analysts providing services to a healthcare client. His prior position supported 9 million beneficiaries as Analytics Chief for the Defense Health Agency. His background is in Economics, Mathematics, and programming. He defended at viva for the first DBA awarded from Durham University, 2007.

He is now a Fellow of the RSA, on the Board of Live Green Co and the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data and founded Blue like an Orange Sustainable Capital.

Kevin Barrow,
Kevin Barrow is the Founder & CEO of Mark Labs, a software company which helps institutional investors harness their power as asset owners to positively influence the social and environmental impact of the companies in their investment portfolios.
Prior to embracing his inner social entrepreneur, Kevin earned his stripes in the fields of law (GE), banking (ABN AMBRO), and management consulting (Deloitte and Booz Allen Hamilton).
Kevin completed his higher education in the UK earning an Honours Law Degree from Durham and an MBA from Oxford. He is an avid reader, lover of Sufi poetry, and an aspiring surfer.

Kat Donovan,
Kat Donovan earned her Master of Science from Durham in 2018. She is an Impact Analyst at Clearinghouse CDFI, where she tracks the impacts of investments in low-income communities and has secured $4 million in federal funding for affordable housing projects. Kat lives in Washington, DC with her dog, Oscar.
